Please give me a shout via my handy contact form if you found this page inspiring. I went through a lot of work and am proud of how this page came together. It is always nice to see when someone gives you a "atta boy" for your efforts.

This page will inspire you with practical scripture from the Lord and a explanation. I include one verse for every day of the year. Thanks to Robert H. Schuller and a book called "Tough Minded Faith for Tender Hearted People".

Spotting the hidden potential
“Love believes all things.”
CORINTHIANS 13:7

Have you noticed how some people spot opportunities while they are still opportunities, and others never recognize opportunities until they have become accomplishments. Possibility thinking is the mental process that intuitively sifts and spots opportunities while they are still fresh and potentially visible.

Living without insurance
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”
LUKE 21:33

The most valued possessions in life cannot be covered by insurance! The challenge of faith is to live life abundantly and adventurously even without insurance! The reality is this: life without risk is impossible. So there is no alternative to faith! Faith is our only option. In Alice in wonderland, the white Knight as he prepared for a journey, anticipated all the possible problems that could be fall him. To understand attacks from lions, he covered his horse with sheets of steel. To protect his horse from alligators, the knight the attached knifes to the legs of this horse. By the time the horse and the rider were protected from all of the fantasized dangers, the horse collapsed under the weight. As you walk the walk of faith you live without insurance, but your faith is your assurance.

Abandoning all fears
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress or persecution, or famine or nakedness or peril, or sword? In all these things we are more than conquers through Him who l
ROMANS 8:35,37

I admit I was once a chain smoker, indulging in what I now know to be very physically destructive and hence a negative and sinful habit. But addiction to cigarette smoking was a difficult habit to break. It was fear of lung cancer that finally caused me to quit. But it was a positive desire to live more than of fear of dying that made me break the habit a psychiatrist once said “ the fear of death is the mother of all fears. “ If you conquer the fear of dying, you really conquer all other fears as well. How does faith conquer the fear of death? Faith believes there is a God who made this world and is alive today. Through Jesus Christ we have forgiveness of sins and a solid assurance of a pardon, which removes all guilt and all fear of judgment. I know that if I die tonight I need not fear divine judgment; For Jesus Christ will be my lawyer to represent me before the great judge. He will plead my case and I shall be admitted to the presence of the Eternal One with joy and gladness!

Enduring all the way
“Love ..endures all things.”
CORINTHIANS 13:7

Faith can be compared to a battery. Some people have faith with the short life Span, while others have super staying power. Staying power is what you need today. Your face will become so strong that you will have the power of endurance adequate for what ever your life encounters. God gives insurance to match encounters.

Compromising before quitting
“Love hopes all things.”
CORINTHIANS 13:7

Faith produces success when it is strong enough to compromise without quitting. It takes an inwardly secure person to back down, back up, settle for less, and still make a go of it. Retreating is sometimes the wisest way to advance. One step back, two steps forward.

Bowing out gracefully
“ Lord now You are letting Your servant depart in peace for my eyes have seen Your salvation.”
LUKE 2:29-30

One of the beautiful old men in the Bible is Simeon. Talk about faith. He dared to pray that he might live to see the birth of the Messiah. The day finally came when Joseph and Mary brought their newborn baby boy to be circumcised. With the deep conviction that came from God, Simeon knew this baby was the promised one. This Jesus would be the fulfilment of the old testament prophecies. Simeon’s prayer was answered. What more could we hope for as we come to the end of the year? The time comes to close the book, to turn in the report, to offer your resignation, or to accept retirement from the company. Can you or walk of faith carry you through your golden years , down the sunset trail, to the very end with joy it in your spirit?

Facing death unafraid
“’For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
JOHN 3:16

Can you handle the prospect of thinking about your own death? What his death anyway? It is a transition. Every person lives three lives. The first life is nine months long. Then we die. Yes, birth is the process of dying to a world we’ve known for nine months. But it’s also the process of being born. When we live our second life, the sold his prepared within the womb of the body to be born out of this body into eternity! So death is a transition. Death does not have to be anything to fear. The only thing to fear is hell. And God offers to every person the promise of heaven if we only accept his son Jesus Christ to be our guide across the chasm between time and eternity.
