God Bless and be inspired!

Please give me a shout via my handy contact form if you found this page inspiring. I went through a lot of work and am proud of how this page came together. It is always nice to see when someone gives you a "atta boy" for your efforts.

This page will inspire you with practical scripture from the Lord and a explanation. I include one verse for every day of the year. Thanks to Robert H. Schuller and a book called "Tough Minded Faith for Tender Hearted People".

Splitting the diamond.
“..which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises.”
2 PETER 1:4

I have had the exciting opportunity of seeing the most beautiful diamonds in the world. The largest and most beautiful diamonds are in the crown jewels in the Tower of London in England. The largest diamond ever found is in that collection. When it was discovered, it was almost the size of two chicken eggs. It was determined that the gem would have to be split in order to bring out the potential beauty within. Studies were mad. Then came the decisive moment when the blow would have to fall. There was the risk that the stone would be permanently ruined. Today the masterful results are there for you to see. The diamonds –each nearly the size of a chicken egg- dazzle the eye. Faith takes you to the point of no return, where there is no looking back. Win or lose, the decision must be made. Are you facing such a moment today? Make sure that your move is a positive one! Strike a blow that will deepen your commitment to your God-given goal. Run the risk of a loss. There is no success without taking a chance!

Giving before receiving
“Give, and it shall be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over…For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
LUKE 6:38

Faith gives before it receives. Flash a smile and people are friendly to you. But act shy and worried about rejection and the sparkle of magnetic charm will be frozen under the mask of apprehension. If you wait for others to smile first, your walk of faith will be disappointing! Give and you shall receive. The farmer knows this. He plants the seed, giving it away, before he can expect a harvest. Life’s satisfying experiences rush to the person who gives before there is any guarantee of return. But what if nothing comes back and I lose what I’ve given? Well! I have already received something- the assurance that I am walking the walk of faith! I’ll win some; I’ll lose some. But of this I am sure: Life will start drying up: my youthful personality will become winkled and arthritic: and a slow insidious decay will infect my heart, when I cautiously wait to give before I receive. So long as I give before I receive, I remain vital and truly alive!

Pledging support
“God loves a cheerful giver.”
CORINTHIANS 9:7

I have a great deal of admiration for people who pledge financial support to worthy causes. Commitments are keys that unlock doors to great opportunities. If you have the faith- God’s got the power! If you make the commitment- God opens the way! If you make the pledge- God gives you the winning edge! Are you on the sidewalk looking into the store window? And the door is locked? Life’s dreams are all here- but not for you? Wrong! Make the commitment! That’s the key to unlock the possibility!

Tithing your income
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse…And prove me now in this…If I will not…pour out for you such blessings. That there will not be room enough to receive it.”
MALACHI 3:10

In the Old Testament God commanded His people to immediately set aside a tenth of their income to be returned to the work of the Lord. This is called tithing. A tithe is not a debt we owe, it is a fertile see we sow. I dare you to start tithing today! You will find another reason why God blesses the men and women of great faith! Plant the seed- and the harvest will astound you! For tithing will make a believer out of you! God will have a measurable opportunity to prove to you life’s most important lesson: nothing is ever achieved until somebody has believed!

Merging to make miracles
”Whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be the first shall be slave of all.”
MARK 10:43-44

It takes two to make a miracle. When a believing human being merges his will with God’s powers, miracles happen. Miracles require faith- and faith is often spelled w-o-r-k. Jesus Himself encourages the pursuit of greatness. But our Lord makes it clear that the pathway to success is the path of service. If you want to be great- be prepared to be a servant. Great things happen when we follow out prayer with hard work. Work means serving, and serving involves thinking about others’ need and meeting them at their level.

Wading into deeper water
“When you pass through the waters. I will be with you And though the rivers they shall not overflow you…Thus says the Lord who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters.”
ISAIAH 43:2 ,16

Miracles happen when you practice the faith of deep water. Faith always call you forward. It never allows you to settle back and be satisfied. Faith compels you to wade deeper, go the extra distance. Faith keeps you from giving up. Faith calls you again, echoing and reechoing that solitary word, “More” It takes faith to wade into deep waters- especially when you don’t know where the bottom is. Your do not know what the future holds, but you know who holds the future. God is your Captain, and He knows the waters well. God give me the courage to swim in the strong stream, to wade into the deeper water, to move into an area where it will be impossible to succeed without Your help! Only then will I know I live by faith. Thank You, Lord. Amen

Striking water in the desert
“..waters shall burst forth in the wilderness…And streams in the desert.”
ISAIAH 35:6

The Shepard walks with his sheep even today, across blazing desert sands until he comes to a rock. There at the foot of Mount Sinai, he will do what Moses did. Moses satisfied his thirst by striking the rock in the desert. And water gushed out of the rock. Unbelievable? Impossible? The truth is it still happens today. The rocks in Sinai are granite, but have soft, porous limestone veins running through them. These limestone veins trap and hold rainfall in the rainy season. The water seeps down through invisible arteries inside the rocks collecting like little natural cisterns. Faith is striking the rock that will gush with water to save the thirsty traveler. Strike the rocky experiences of life with faith and good will emerge.
