God Bless and be inspired!

Please give me a shout via my handy contact form if you found this page inspiring. I went through a lot of work and am proud of how this page came together. It is always nice to see when someone gives you a "atta boy" for your efforts.

This page will inspire you with practical scripture from the Lord and a explanation. I include one verse for every day of the year. Thanks to Robert H. Schuller and a book called "Tough Minded Faith for Tender Hearted People".

Laminating the life for strength
“O God you are my God Because you have been my help…My soul follows close behind You. Your right hand upholds me.”
PSALM 63:1,6-8

When you walk the walk of faith, you experience the “laminating principle” Let me illustrate what I mean. When we built or first chapel, I discovered how laminated beams are built. A layer of wood about an inch thick is glued under pressure to another piece of wood of equal thickness. Amazingly enough, these beams are stronger than steel and are virtually fire resistant. There are no hollow cores where the flame can feed from. Steel beams on the other hand, melt under the heat of a burning wall, unless they are wrapped in fire-resistant plaster! The kind of faith that moves mountains doesn’t come from one simple religious event in your life, but through layer upon layer of experiences, one upon another—until your walk with God through months and years becomes an emotional and spiritual beam that can span the deepest chasm and the most ghastly gorge that your path will encounter. Laminate my life for strength so that I need never fear the future. Amen.

Filling the tank
“The wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps…the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.”
MATTHEW 25:4,10

Faith is filling the tank—especially when it’s a rental car! “Fill ‘er up” Now that faith isn’t it? How do you know you’ll take the whole journey and won’t change your mind soon after you start out? And if you can’t, what a waste it is to have all that gas sitting in the tank. “Filling the tank” becomes a key element in success, for it activates an inner commitment. It sets in concrete the hopes and dreams you have. Read carefully the passage from Matthew, chapter 25, verses 1 through 13. The wise women were those who filled their vessels with oil and took extra oil along! There is a warning in this parable: Opportunities will come in unexpected times and place so be prepared. Make sure your tank of faith is full of gas so you can be prepared for the unexpected opportunity that wasn’t in your plan. There’s also a promise in this principle. The promise is that God gives great opportunities to those who are prepared. O God in a changing world I want to be prepared for the unexpected. Fill my tank of fait today with Your promises and Your wisom so that I will not miss the opportunities before me. Amen

Focusing on God’s power
“O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name….When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers.”
PSALM 8:1,3

Did you ever take a magnifying glass and allow the sun to shine through it, adjusting it all the while in your hand until it focused a burning white dot on a piece of cloth or paper or dry leaf? There is tremendous energy generated in the powers that are created through the “focusing principle” Is there a malfunctioning in your soul? Then exercise the power of “focusing” Focus on the power of God who created the sun. Visualize the incredible immense glove of molten fire that the sun actually is. Can you begin to comprehend the power of the God of all the ages? Focus all your thinking on His power. Allow God’s power to magnify your faith until it burns its healing fore into the problem area of your life. Continue to focus God’s power on the obstructions in your live, and visualize the sizzling, smoking problem being consumed by the enormous power of God. Nothing can resist His redeeming forces!

Connecting with the power sources
“The God of Israel is he who gives strength and power to His people.”
PSALM 68:35

“He’s very well connected” is a sophisticated statement that analyzes personal power. Powerful people in the world are those who are well connected with power sources, such as faith, freedom, knowledge, opportunity, wealth, and other people around them. With what power sources are you connected? Today, connect with the power source of the most beautiful and wonderful people alive- the positive thinking people. When you choose to become a believer, you suddenly find yourself moving out of the circle of cynics and into a new company of optimistic people. Enthusiasm replaces boredom. Excitement replaces lethargy. Faith producing energy replaces doubt-producing fatigue. Youthfulness replaces weariness. That’s being connected with the real power people. Through their minds flows an energy that has it source in positive ideas flowing from the eternal God. That’s exciting! Thank You Father that You’re giving to me today the greatest gift possible ---freedom to choose my friends! I am choosing today to connect myself to the most beautiful, positive-thinking people I can meet. I pray that you will lead me.

Relaxing under pressure
“Be still and know that I am God.”
PSALM 46:10

Imagine a balloon filled with air. You maintain the balloon’s full pressure by tightly pinching the opening closed. Now separate your fingers to allow the air to rush out. The balloon completely deflates until it is limp and empty of its pent up pressure. Release the pressure that has blown up like a balloon ready to explode. Exhale deeply. Blow out the tension. Deeply breathe in the presence of God’s peace. Blow out the poison of stressful pressures. “Be still and know that I am God” Can you know God without being still? Probably not. Tensions can block the freedom of God’s flow into the soul. Now throw open the sun roof of your mind and let the sun tranquilize your spirit: Be still—and then you may be able to hear the voice of God. I once asked Viktor Frankl the question “how can you have a religious experience?” He answered with a question, “How do you catch a dove?” The way to catch a dove is to open the palm of the hand and reach upward with a grain of wheat or a bread crumb in your hand. If you sit quietly, the dove will come and rest in the center of your palm. Be still—and you will catch the faith! Quiet your spirit and you will feel God’s presence. Relax under pressure, and you’ll tap into God’s power!

Dissolving anxieties
“Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things, Sufficient for the day is its own trouble,”
MATTHEW 6:34

As you walk the walk and discipline yourself to seek positive possibilities in every situation, you will still face such realities as sickness, separation from love ones and even death. You can’t escape the raw realities of life, but you can shape them! How can faith help you dissolve life’s anxieties? Faith faces the worries and anxieties one at a time. If you imagined all the possible painful experiences you might encounter from birth until the end of your life all at once, you could not handle it. A bridge cannot handle all the traffic that passes over it at one time. Bridges are designed to handle moving traffic. So faith is designed to handle anxieties one at a time. Deal with only your immediate pressures. Let tomorrows worries wait until then. Faith erases anxieties and worries. By the time you have spaced your anxieties, you will have erased many of them! Many anxieties that remain can be erased by transferring them to a Higher Department. Turn them over to God. He specializes in problems you are incapable of handling. Faith replaces anxieties. If anxieties and worries still remain after prayer, then faith replaces them. It says: I’ll replace worry with work. I’ll replace anxiety with ambition. I’ll replace depression with a new drive. I’ll replace stress with success!
