Please give me a shout via my handy contact form if you found this page inspiring. I went through a lot of work and am proud of how this page came together. It is always nice to see when someone gives you a "atta boy" for your efforts.

This page will inspire you with practical scripture from the Lord and a explanation. I include one verse for every day of the year. Thanks to Robert H. Schuller and a book called "Tough Minded Faith for Tender Hearted People".

Stretching your imagination
“Enlarge the place of your tent, Lengthen your cords And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left”
ISAIAH 54:2-3

The word imagination comes from the root word meaning “to image”. Every person has the ability to imagine. It is the mark of the image of God within us. Measure a person by the stretch of his imagination. You can tell where he is going by how expansive his powers of imagination are. It was said of Joseph Stalin that he kept a world globe on his desk. He used it as a device to help him think bigger. You have the freedom to dream as big, beautifully and bountifully as you want! Since it doesn’t cost a dime to dream you’ll never shot-change yourself when you stretch your imagination.

Managing to achieve the impossible
“Through wisdom a house is built. And by understanding it is established. By knowledge the rooms are filled. With all precious and pleasant riches.”
PROVERBS 24:3 -4

Can you say : I’ve taken the plunge? I’m pushing myself to the limit? I believe in success and I will manage until I succeed? The impossible can become possible through wise management. Management is taking control of a situation in which you will be held accountable for the results. The world control implies the exercise of leadership. Leadership is the force that sets the goals. Leadership takes control of a situation to reshape, reorganize and retool the operation until the project turns around. It takes time to stop a freight train, It will take time to turn impossibilities in possibilities, but you will make it. Perhaps you have to learn to manage by setting definite goals. Your situation isn’t impossible. You simply have to exercise leadership! Don’t confuse indecision for problems! What is one of the first arts of a good manager? It’s making hard decisions!

Planning to solve unsolvable problems
“Ask, and it shall be proven to you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.”
MATTHEW 7:7

The walk of faith inevitably leads you into a position where you face problems. On first sight these problems may appear insolvable! The fact is : We are not operating in the arena of faith unless we are dealing with problems that at the present moment appear unsolvable. Is your walk taking you to the brink of a possible failure? If not, you may be living so safely that your faith can be called into question. Your faith moves from the infantile stage when you face seemingly impossible situations. At that point your faith is no longer mental fantasizing, but active planning. How do you put your faith into action? Simply count to ten pause and pray. Then listen to every wonderful, wild and wacky idea that enters your mind and which might work. So set goals, Today! Make them impossible enough to get God involved! You-and God-will come up with a plan to make them happen!

Pursuing your objective relentlessly
“..be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might”
EPHESIANS 6:10

Human behavior can be dissected and divided into three sections: 1. Intellectual- When you walk the walk of faith you use your head. Be smart about it. 2. Emotional – be inwardly secure enough that you do not fear the mysterious and marvelous geysering of positive emotion. Enthusiasm is a mark of heath – not illness. 3. Volitional- faith must be applied to daily life. The word volitional comes from the root, velle which means expressing tremendous proven internalized energy. It begins when faith becomes an act of the will; when belief is translated into dynamic willpower. O God, help me to discover the power that comes from within men when I make up my mind wholeheartedly to pursue my objective relentlessly. Amen

Splurging in possibilities
“The Mary took a pound of very costly oil… and anointed the feet of Jesus.
JOHN 12:2

You could think of your faith as a Symphony in four movements. The first movement is the urge. An inner urge nudges you to open up you mind to the possibility of a religious reality that until now you had avoided. The second movement is a surge, What starts as a gentle though grows to a passion : I want it ! I need it! The third movement of faith is known as the purge. Negative thoughts may rush in to destroy your desire. This movement is filled with discordant notes and contradictions. All of the destructive thoughts must be purged. The fourth and final movement is the splurge. You made the leap. You went all out for it. You held nothing back. It is the splurging of your dream that will make it come true! Like that beautiful woman who opened the flask and poured all of the costly perfume over the feet of Jesus in a display of extravagance, I[m going to give my dream my all-out effort; for I am a believer!

Making daring decisions
“I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that …you …may live.”
DEUTERONOMY 30:19

Success never happens until you make it happen. And you make good things happen when you make decisions the cause movement to begin. Life by its very nature, rejects protectionism. Do you refuse to make decisions because problems and perils might result? The truth is if you make daring decisions, you will succeed—at least you will succeed in filling each day with excitement. Success is no accident. Success is a commitment—not a coincidence! Decide today where you want to be five, ten, twenty years from today.

Snapping the trap
“…that we may know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”
CORINTHIANS 2:12

I grew up out in the country, on a farm at the end of a road, I discovered early in life that I did not appreciate living at the dead end of a road. I learned this lesson early in life: Dead-end roads never go anywhere. Dead-end roads are traps. Are you trapped today in a job that has no future? Is you life bogged down at a dead end with nothing exciting in your future path? Even God cannot steer a stalled car. Get out and move. It takes guts to leave the ruts. You are free to go anywhere from where you are!
